The fact that you're actually QUESTIONING the plot of a TVB series would automatically disqualify you from watching TVB.
tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb9 L& Y/ w' p% \- o+ w. ?# O
The ideal condition for watching TVB shows is to be completely brain-dead, or just switch off any sense of logic or rationality. Whatever TVB dishes out to you, just lap it all up.& H4 R5 _9 W j. _8 D

Smoking pot while watching it would make the stupid plot and diabolical acting easier to swallow too.8 e0 H2 U5 _4 S; j0 S+ e

I enjoy watching the occasional episode for how awful it is.
