The guys from Mcchip have improved the power and torque for the Ford Focus RSwith a new high performance kit. From the factory, the Ford Focusalready packs a punch with 305 hp and 440 Nm of torque, but Mcchipdecided to add even more. Offering two stages, the tuning companyincreases the power with some simple modifications. The first stageconsists of an engine remapping which boosts the numbers to 345 hp and520 Nm of torque. The second stage includes a new intercooler, sparkplugs, intake manifold, sports exhaust system, and a chip to bring itto 401 horsepower and 612 Nm of torque.
If both kits are installed on the Ford Focus, it canreach a top speed of 279 km/h, or 271 km/h with just the stage one kit.Through its six-speed manual gearbox the Ford Focus RS can go throughbasically two sets of tuning. The first stages of the kit costs 799euro from Mcchip, while the stage two kit that includes several aftermarket parts goes for 4,499 euro. |
