Customer Reviews Sublime sensory experience
by Lord Boognish Stunning graphics, cool ambient and electronic score straight out of the console version, touch controls are perfect, great flow to the levels and the price is right (was expecting it to be at least $10). Plenty to do after the story, too - like 60 hidden bags to find (only found about 10 first time through), bunch of achievements and unlockable wallpapers. Oh, tested it on my first gen iPod touch and it runs smooth as butter, too. Bam!

Typical Mirror's Edge experience
by DarkOwl This follows a very similar formula to the original first-person game. Beautiful visuals, great music and acrobatics are the high points. Often confusing level design, frustrating as hell combat and a rubbish plot are the flipside.
On plot, there isn't one. You're given goals - explore here, reach Kate, infiltrate there. But you're never given reason why nor any indication you actually did that task. Levels involve running and a bit of combat before reaching a door or similar and then the next level starts with a different "task". Loading screens expand the world a bit but don't relate to what you're doing.
I only hope the team behind ME are given the chance to make a true sequel. With focus on a great plot which explores the characters and world in more depth, improved ways of dealing with frustrating combat and slightly more open levels along with what made the original so great, they'd have the perfect combination.
